This specialized and person-specific approach is open ended and has proven to be a powerful tool in deterring chemical addiction, substance abuse, and behavioral relapse.
Once admitted to residential treatment, you will meet with a drug/alcohol specialist in order to address specific individual needs and formulate a drug and alcohol treatment and recovery program together (men's and women's health are evaluated). It is critical to the recovery process to have a complete understanding of the concept that recovering drug addicts and alcoholics have underlying issues and problems that are a major contribution to why they drink, abuse drugs, and become chemically dependant. Eventually the "Drug and/or Alcohol Solution" becomes a much greater problem than the original underlying problem.
Every patient is assigned an alcohol and drug addiction counselor during their stay in treatment. The client's counselor helps to teach how to live an enriched life without being dependant on alcohol and drugs and also suggests positive behavior modification. The structured environment emphasizes sobriety and life coping skills for both business and interpersonal relationships. Each patient meets on a regular basis with their counselor, who acts as their personal guide during their stay, making drug and alcohol recovery as pleasant and successful as possible.
The primary focus of treatment is the recovery of the individual, which includes stress-relieving activities. After addiction and/or behavior education, group activities, and scheduled classes, AA/NA meetings.
